Caprese Salad Recipe is very popular all over the world. This recipe is very easy and simple to make. It is ready in just 20 minutes. This is a healthy salad recipe and very helpful for obese person who wants to lose his/her weight because in this recipe cherries are used which controls cholesterol level in the body hence prevents from weight gain. Cherries are rich in Vitamin A and improve our heart health and boost our immune system. So just go through the recipe given below and must try the simple recipe at home. You should take this healthy salad in breakfast regularly to remain physically fit and healthy.

Ingredients of Caprese Salad

Elbow macaroni 1 packet
Garlic cloves 2-3 chopped
Basil leaves 1 cup
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Lemon zest 1 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp
Black pepper 1 tsp
Red chili pepper ¼ tsp
Olive oil 2-3 tbsp
Vinegar 1 tsp
Soya sauce 1 tsp
Small mozzarella balls ½ cup
Cherries 10-12
Grape tomatoes 5-6

Caprese Salad Recipe

Method

  1. Boil macaroni then sieve and keep aside in a bowl.
  2. In a blender add basil leaves, garlic cloves, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, red chili pepper and black pepper and blend them until a smooth paste is formed. Now add olive oil and stir with spoon.
  3. Pour this mixture over boiled macaroni and add mozzarella balls, soya sauce and vinegar and mix with spoon.
  4. Cut cherries and grape tomatoes into two equal halves.
  5. Garnish macaroni with cherries and grape tomatoes.
  6. Keep it in refrigerator and allow to cool.
