Ingredients
White flour (maida) 1 cupButter or Ghee ½ cup
Caster sugar 1/3 cup
Baking soda ½ tsp
Baking powder ½ tsp
Cardamom powder (crushed elaichi) ½ tsp
Roasted almonds few crushed
Method
- Mix ghee and sugar in a bowl.
- Then add white flour, cardamom powder, baking soda, baking powder and roasted almonds and beat until the mixture become fluffy and turn into a dough.
- Now cover this dough with plastic sheet for 15 minutes.
- Make round shape balls of it.
- Grease the baking tray with oil and put these balls on it.
- Brush these balls with egg yolk from the top.
- Put the baking tray in oven and bake on 180 degree C for 20-25 minutes.
- Khatai is ready.
- preserve in a well closed jar.
- Serve tasty naan khatai with tea in breakfast.
