Crispy Naan Khatai Recipe

Crispy naan khatai is a simple recipe. It is easy to make. Mostly people like to take it in breakfast with tea. It is perfect for light breakfast. It can also be preserved in air tight cans or jars. So try this recipe by given recipe method and give us feedback too.


Ingredients

White flour (maida) 1 cup
Butter or Ghee ½ cup
Caster sugar 1/3 cup
Baking soda ½ tsp
Baking powder ½ tsp
Cardamom powder (crushed elaichi) ½ tsp
Roasted almonds few crushed


Crispy Naan Khatai Recipe

Method

  1. Mix ghee and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Then add white flour, cardamom powder, baking soda, baking powder and roasted almonds and beat until the mixture become fluffy and turn into a dough.
  3. Now cover this dough with plastic sheet for 15 minutes.
  4. Make round shape balls of it.
  5. Grease the baking tray with oil and put these balls on it.
  6. Brush these balls with egg yolk from the top.
  7. Put the baking tray in oven and bake on 180 degree C for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Khatai is ready.
  9. preserve in a well closed jar.
  10. Serve tasty naan khatai with tea in breakfast.
