Ingredients

Bread 10 slices
Ghee ¾ cup
Milk 1 liter (5 cups)
Sugar 1½ cup (300 gm)
Pistachio 5 tsp
Vanilla essence 1-2 drops
Roasted almonds few crushed
Cardamom (elaichi) 3-4 crushed
Khoya ½ cup
Zarda colour ½ tsp

Shahi Tukday Recipe

Method

  1. Cut bread slices in cubes and fry in oil.
  2. Heat milk in a pan and add sugar, almond pistachios, zarda colour, cardamom in it and cook until the milk becomes thick.
  3. Put off pan from the stove add khoya in it and mix.
  4. Cool the milk.
  5. Take serving dish and keep fried slices in it and pour mixture of milk over it.
  6. Garnish with roasted almonds and pistachios.
  7. Serve delicious chill shahi tukday as a sweet.
