Ingredients of Black Forest Cake
Egg 4Sugar 4 oz
White flour 3 oz
Coco powder 1 oz
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Cherry syrup 1 tin pack
Chocolate syrup for garnish
Chocolate pieces for garnish
For icing
Fresh cream 2 oz
Icing sugar 2 oz
Method
- Blend sugar and eggs until the mixture becomes smooth and add vanilla essence in it and mix with spatula.
- In a bowl mix baking powder, coco powder and white flour and sieve them and add it into egg mixture and blend well.
- Now grease baking tray and fix butter paper in it then again grease the butter paper with oil and pour blended mixture in it.
- Put this tray in oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 180 degree C.
- After the required time take out the baking tray and allow the cake sponge to cool.
- For icing mix fresh cream an icing sugar in a separate bowl and keep aside.
- Cut the sponge cake into 2 pieces.
- On one piece apply cherry syrup then spread a layer of icing over it and cover with other piece of sponge cake.
- Apply cream on the top or cover whole cake with cream and garnish with chocolate syrup, grated chocolates and cherries.
- The healthy yummy black forest cake is ready to serve.
